Technique

Sight Reading
Students will be given one sheet with three tasks: a sight reading example, transposition of the sight reading example, and a short rhythmic pattern. Students have two minutes to silently prepare for sight reading, one additional minute to prepare for transposition, and 30 additional seconds to prepare the rhythm. Aural Awareness
For the aural awareness test, students will be asked to listen to pre-recorded material and answer numerous questions about what they hear. Use the links below to view sample answer sheets and to practice specific elements for this test.
